There is a new Mountain Goats album coming out soon, with various mp3s finding their way out onto the internet(s) through a combination of osmosis and piracy. Not so much the carefree sing-a-long hate and love songs of the past, this is more serious stuff. Analagously, we're done drinking grape juice, have some bourbon.
This song is utterly harrowing. It will make you shiver.
And this one is nearly as good, but hits differently, especially for me. Not in a raw and emotional sense, but more in that it brings out various regressive, unhealthy, and arguably unresolved stuff. Still, worth a listen or ten.
