And just like that, I'm back in the states. Nice weather in Long Island right now.
Suddenly driving is nerve-wracking. Suddenly I have to use dollar bills to pay for things. Suddenly I know what all the nouns mean again.
And everything in New York feels approximately the same as when I left, the same mix of missing like a hundred different people and the same kind of excitement for what's ahead. One more year now. Huh.
